We want all of our customers to be re-assured that we will fully refund or offer to reschedule all bookings due to place when we are unable to operate due to a raised COVID-19 alert level. This also includes any bookings from customers who are prohibited from travel due to a regional lock down. 

Our team will safely work from home to refund or re-arrange your travel.

Our standard cancellation policy is 24 hours however should a lock down occur we will be completely understanding that 24 hours notice may not be given. So be rest assured that your booking with us is safe.

Our COVID-19 Status

We are currently facing unprecedented times both for our business and the wider tourism industry. 
The situation and information available to us is changing on a daily basis.

Our priority at this time is the health and wellbeing of our customers, staff and their families.

We have put measures in place and are now recognised as Covid clean by Qualmark and Covid Ready by the Tourism Export Council.


At alert level 4 and 3 we will not operate the Akaroa Nature Cruise or Swimming With Dolphins.

At alert level 2, we will operate our Akaroa Harbour Cruise daily with reduced capacity, social distancing and appropriate cleaning programme. 
We do not plan on operating our Swimming with Dolphins experience until later this year.

At alert Level 1 all operations will resume their usual schedule with appropriate cleaning in place.

The Diamond Harbour Ferry is currently opertaing. In levell 3 or 4 we run for essential travel only

We are reviewing how we might be able to re-start the Quail Island Ferry over the spring.
We can confirm we will operate our daily schedule over the October school holidays if we remain at Level 1 or 2 and will update the Quail Island page and schedule as and when we can.
Ripapa Island will have a weekend service run over summer if we are at level 1 or 2.
